Area 18 Winter Dressage: Well done to all CERC who continued their good form in this event. Angela Coombes was 2nd her arena in the Prelim 18 class and Mechelle Lake was 5th in her arena in the Novice class. This helped their team to Joint 6th place (out of 34 teams!!). Also competing were Teresa Ventimiglia, Sarah Carless, Jill Carless, Alison Barlow, Claire Richards and Rachael Whitlock.

Congratulations to Teresa Ventimiglia and Alison Barlow. Both competed at the BRC Dressage to Music Championships at Aintree. Both did brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Teresa and Charlie cross the line at Aintree!!!!

CHANGE OF DATE: The Fun With Poles rally on June 26 will now be on Sunday July 4th at Westend Grove, Wickwar. Can everybody who has booked onto the 26th June let Debbie know if they would like to be moved onto the July 4 Rally. There are also spaces available for those who have not booked on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Case of Emergency (ICE): There has been an update in the BRC rules to ensure that at all rallies there is an emergency contact for all riders. Some riding clubs have decided that all members wear medical armbands. However we are aware that not all our members compete and therefore wouldn’t have one. Therefore, we would like to reiterate that all members riding at rallies need to give emergency contact details to the instructor, and all instructors will be made aware of this. You can wear your medical arm band if you prefer. This is now a must as per Health and Safety and BRC Rules.

Area Indoor Dressage: Congratulations to CERC dressage teams for their performance at the Area Indoor Dressage Qualifier at Hartpury (Feb 27 2010). Out of 33 teams, CERC's team of Sam Kellett (My Master Diamond), Mechelle Lake (Iona), Teresa Ventimiglia (Charlie Brown) and Sarah Carless (Steady Teddy) came 4th. Teresa was 6th in her arena. The team of Jill Carless (Kingsheath Mastermind), Claire Richards (Tinkas Tale), Richard Taylor (Disko Bay) and Sam Kellett also did very well in what turned out to be a very high standard competition. Well done everybody.

Area Indoor SJ: Well done to CERC's SJ team who competed at the Area 18 Winter Indoor SJ qualifier on Sunday Feb 21. Against 24 teams, CERC finished on a score of 9 penalties. Five teams jumped off for first place after completing two rounds on a zero score so the team of Mel Tegg, Sam Kellett and Sarah and Jill Carless did really well. Congratulations goes to Sam Kellett who won the individual competition on Calief. Sam was also 4th in the Top Score competition. Bryony Jones also competed for the club in this class.  Well done everybody.
